Asian Pork Belly

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 x Our Cow Free Range Pork Belly
  • 1⁄4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1⁄4 cup Honey
  • 3 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1⁄2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • Pinch Salt

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
  2. In a bowl combine soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic, cayenne pepper and salt.
  3. Create a grid pattern by scoring the pork belly in both horizontal and vertical lines.
  4. Place pork belly in a baking dish (fate side up) and coat with the marinade.
  5. Place in the fridge to marinate for up to 12 hours (if time allows!).
  6. Roast pork belly for 30 minutes.
  7. Reduce the temperature to 140 degrees, cover with foil and bake for a further 25-30 minutes.
  8. Rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
