Ingredients:
- 500g Our Cow Grass Fed Beef Mince
- 1 egg
- ⅔ cup bread crumbs
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper
- 2 sheets of puff pastry, partially thawed
- 4 sandwich pickles
- 3 slices of cheese, sliced in half
- 1 egg, whisked
- Sesame seeds
Big Mac sauce:
- 2 tbsp Kewpie mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1/2 tbsp pickles, diced
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- Dash of pickle juice
Cooking instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Add the Our Cow Grass Fed Beef Mince, 1 egg, breadcrumbs, dried thyme, tomato sauce, and Dijon mustard to a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix with your hands until combined.
- Lay the partially thawed pastry sheets flat on your countertop. To each sheet, add 3 cheese slices and 2 sandwich pickles.
- Divide the beef mixture evenly between the two pastry sheets and shape it into a long sausage on top of the cheese and pickles.
- Roll the pastry tightly to ensure it all stays together. Slice each roll into 6 pieces and place on a baking tray.
- Whisk the remaining egg and brush the rolls, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden.
- While the sausage rolls bake, combine the Kewpie mayonnaise, tomato sauce, diced pickles, Dijon mustard, and pickle juice. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Serve the cheeseburger sausage rolls warm with the Big Mac sauce and enjoy!
