Beef Mince Moussaka

Beef Recipes


- 500g beef mince

- 1 onion, chopped

- 2 garlic cloves, minced

- 2 eggplants, sliced

- 2 cans diced tomatoes (400g each)

- 1 tbsp tomato paste

- 1 tsp dried oregano

- 1 tsp ground cinnamon

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 2 cups béchamel sauce

- Grated cheese (for topping)


1. Preheat oven to 180°C.

2. Cook eggplant slices in a little oil until golden, then set aside.

3. Cook onion and garlic in a pan until softened, then add beef mince and cook until browned.

4. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, and cinnamon. Simmer for 15 minutes, then season with salt and pepper.

5. In a baking dish, layer eggplant slices and beef mixture, then top with béchamel sauce and cheese.

6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
