Rolling into Action with Springroll Gold for Rural Aid!

Back in 2024, we were proud to have Gail and Tim Thiele, owners of Springroll Gold, join us as major partners in the custom creation of our iconic "Car-Beque", our custom-built BBQ vehicle designed to bring communities together and raise funds for a great cause.

With the generous support of Gail, Tim and the Springroll Gold team, our Car-Beque helped us get behind Rural Aid, one of Australia's most trusted rural charities, and its mission to support our hardworking farmers and rural communities.

A Shared Passion for Australian Farming

Springroll Gold, known for its gourmet selection of spring rolls featuring unique Australian flavour combinations and ingredients, was founded by Gail and Tim Thiele at their award-winning barramundi farm in tropical Far North Queensland.

Their gourmet spring rolls gained popularity among chefs across Australia, making their way onto menus at pubs, restaurants and cafés around the country.

We first welcomed Gail and Tim into the Our Cow Farmer Family in 2023, when we began sharing their delicious gourmet spring rolls with our customers. Their commitment to quality ingredients, exceptional flavour and supporting Australian farmers made them a great fit for Our Cow.

Gail and Tim placed a strong emphasis on sourcing locally grown produce and ingredients, supporting their local farming community and showcasing premium barramundi fillets from their own farm.

With three generations involved in the family-run business, the Thiele family had built a strong reputation for their commitment to their community, local employment and sustainable farming practices.

Bringing the Car-Beque to Life for Rural Aid

Thanks to Springroll Gold's generous donation of hundreds of gourmet spring rolls, along with their financial contribution towards the custom build of our Car-Beque, we were able to bring something special to "The Great Aussie BBQ", held on Australia Day 2024 beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The event was a fantastic opportunity to bring people together over great Australian food while raising awareness and support for Rural Aid.

Attendees enjoyed a gourmet BBQ cooked on our custom-built Car-Beque, alongside freshly fried Springroll Gold spring rolls served on-site.

It was a memorable day filled with delicious food, community spirit and a shared commitment to supporting Australian farmers.

Supporting Our Rural Communities

The collaboration between Our Cow and Springroll Gold was built on shared values and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in Australia's rural and farming communities.

Through their involvement in the Car-Beque project, Gail and Tim played an important role in helping us bring our fundraising vision to life and supporting the valuable work of Rural Aid.
