What started as a small idea on a drought-stricken cattle farm in northern NSW has grown into one of Australia’s leading grass-fed and free-range meat delivery services.

This year, that story reached a new milestone: Our Cow co-founders, Bianca Tarrant and Dave McGivern, were named winners of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for 2026 in the Emerging category.

From Farm to Fridge: How It All Began

Back in 2019, during one of the worst droughts Australia has ever seen, Bianca and Dave were running their cattle property in northern NSW when they faced a tough reality: the traditional meat supply chain wasn’t built to protect small farmers during hard times.

So they did something about it.

They launched Our Cow, a simple but powerful idea: deliver 100% grass-fed, free-range and sustainably sourced meat, straight from Aussie farms to Aussie families.

By cutting out the middlemen, Bianca and Dave built a system where farmers get paid fairly, animals are treated ethically, and customers get better quality meat, all delivered to their door.

Today, Our Cow supports over 150 Australian farmers, delivers to tens of thousands of households, and continues to grow its meat subscription service nationwide.
